How to consign at The Children's Closet
Consigning at The Children's Closet is easy. We take consignments Monday through Saturday during normal store hours. You will never have to make an appointment.
We will display your items for 60 days. You receive 40% of the selling price when paid by cash or check, or 50% of the selling price when used as store credit. Stop in any time for any money owed you. Click here to view Consignment Agreement.
Consignment guidelines
- All items must be freshly laundered, odor-free (no cigarette smoke, mothballs, etc.), and wrinkle-free.
- All items must be completely free of stains, rips, snags and tears.
- All buttons must be buttoned, snaps snapped, and zippers zippered.
- CLOTHING BROUGHT IN PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Items with yard sale stickers will not be accepted.
- Please, only bring current styles (within last two years)
- Toys and other non-clothing items should be clean and in complete working order. All pieces must be present, including batteries. Plastic sandwich bags may be helpful to keep small pieces together.
- All items must meet today's safety standards. We will give back to you items that have been recalled.
Children's clothing
Simply bring your children's clothing to the store pressed and on hangers, or neatly folded and placed into a clean box or plastic bin. Do not stuff boxes and don't forget the lids. Please remember . . . wrinkled items don't sell as fast!! A maximum of 50 children's items will be accepted for consignment per week.
Women's clothing
Women's clothing must be in perfect condition. Bring items PRESSED and ON HANGERS so that they are ready to sell. No boxes or bins, please. A maximum of 20 women's items will be accepted for consignment per week.
The cleaner and more presentable the items are, the better they sell!!
DON'T FORGET to write your name and account number, if known, on your bins and boxes.
